Some of what follows is already running. Some of it is a commitment with a date attached. We have separated the two so you can hold us to the right one.

Five reasons microgreens are the right ingredient to build a company around, plus one honest trade-off.
Microgreens reach harvest in roughly seven to fourteen days. A mature vegetable crop takes weeks to months. Shorter cycles mean less cumulative input per unit of nutrition harvested.
Controlled indoor cultivation uses a fraction of the water field agriculture needs for equivalent nutritional output. No irrigation runoff, no evaporation loss across open acreage.
Vertical growing produces a high yield per square metre. The land requirement is a small fraction of conventional farming for comparable nutritional output.
A controlled growing environment removes the pest pressure that drives chemical use in open field agriculture. Our microgreens are chemical free because the growing method allows it, not because we spray something gentler.
Short supply chains and controlled handling reduce the spoilage that makes fresh produce one of the most wasteful categories in Indian food retail.

Indoor cultivation runs on electricity for lighting and climate control. Energy efficiency in our growing environment is an active workstream, not a solved problem.

Where a natural alternative performs as well as a synthetic one, the natural one gets specified. Where it does not, we say so rather than compromise the product and call it a virtue.
We select seed varieties for nutritional profile, germination consistency and supplier traceability. We work with suppliers who can document origin.
Our R&D team specifies ingredients before a manufacturer sources them. Where a natural alternative performs as well as a synthetic one, the natural one gets specified. Where it does not, we say so rather than compromise the product and call it a virtue.
We favour Indian and regional suppliers where quality allows. Shorter routes cut emissions and give us better oversight.
Approved suppliers are documented and reviewed. As our volumes grow, supplier environmental and labour criteria become part of that review.

Food and cosmetic packaging carries a real tension. The pack has to protect the product, meet Indian labelling law, survive distribution, and keep contents stable in Indian heat and humidity. Materials that solve those problems are rarely the materials that compost in a garden.
The cheapest environmental win is material you never use. We specify pack sizes and secondary packaging to cut void space and weight.
We prioritise mono material structures and widely recycled substrates over multi layer laminates wherever shelf life permits. Multi layer barriers exist because some formulations need them. Where we use one, it is a technical requirement, not a default.
We will not print a recycling symbol on a pack that Indian municipal recycling cannot process. Symbols that mislead are worse than no symbol.
Cartons and shippers use recycled fibre. We avoid plastic void fill.
Plastic packaging placed on the Indian market carries Extended Producer Responsibility obligations under the Plastic Waste Management Rules. We treat EPR as a compliance floor, not an achievement.
